Henderson of Sumner County and State of Tennessee of the one part and Barnaba Eagan (Taylor) of the county of Wilson and State of Tennessee of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of eight hundred dollars in hand paid by the said Barnaba Eagan to the sd John C. Henderson the receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged by said John C. Henderson hath given granted bargained sold and delivered by the present doth give grant bargain sell & deliver unto the sd Barnaba Eagan his heirs & assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Wilson & State aforesaid on the waters of Spencers Creek being the land said Eagan now lives on beginning at a small hickory & Elm running thence east two hundred and twenty eight poles to a double poplar on Peter Looneys line thence south two hundred and thirty poles to a stake thence west forty five poles to a stake on Joseph Hendricks line thence north with said line ninety eight poles to Hendricks north east corner thence west two hundred and three poles to a stake thence north one hundred & thirty two poles to the beginning containing two hundred and thirty two acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold the aforesaid land and premises with the rights privileges & improvements to the same in any wise appertaining or belonging to him the said John C. Henderson to the only proper use and behalf of him the said Barnaba Eagan his heirs and assigns forever and the said John C. Henderson to him self and his heirs executes and administrators doth hereby covenant and agree to and will the said Barnaba Eagan his heirs executors administrators & assigns shall and may at all times hereafter have hold use occupy and possess & enjoy the aforesaid land and premises without the least molestation of any person or persons whatsoever & the said John C. Henderson doth bind himself his heirs to warrant and defend the same to the said Barnaba Eagan his heirs and assigns against the same full claim of all person whatever In witness whereof the said John C. Henderson hath signed set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year above written. John C.
