She was a Unicoi County native and a daughter of the late James W. and Celia G. Bell. Mrs. McKinney was an Avon representative for 36 years and a homemaker. She was a member of Limestone Cove Methodist Church. Mrs. McKinney was preceded in death by her husband, Cleophus McKinney, one daughter, one sister and one brother. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Lingerfelt and Joyce Garland, both of Johnson City, Tennessee; two brothers, George Bell and Eugene Bell, both of Unicoi, Tennessee; three sisters, Virginia Cochran, Clinton, Tennessee, Minnie Odom, Unicoi, Tennessee, and Florence Potter, Johnson City, Tennessee; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
