Frazier Jr. John Henry Frazier Jr., 81, 1733 Highway 91, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, November 21, 2006, at his residence. A native of Unicoi County, he was a son of the late John Henry Frazier Sr. and Viola Taylor Frazier. Mr. Frazier had lived most of his life in Carter County. He was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation after 52 years of service and was a member of Hunter First Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Frazier was preceded in death by his wife, Greta Smith Frazier, June 18, 1993, a son, John Paul Frazier, and five brothers, Walter, Jim, Jody, Elmer and Paul Frazier. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Larry Blankenship of Elizabethton; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Cathy Frazier of Elizabethton; four grandchildren, Tina Parlier, Johnny Blankenship, Chad Frazier and Jessica Frazier York and her husband Todd; four great- grandchildren, Nikki Blankenship, Samuel Parlier, Sawyer Parlier and Taylor York; a sister, Venie Jackson of Tulare, Calif.; and a brother, George S. Frazier of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Frazier will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, November 24, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bill Greer and the Rev. Eric Eggers officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 25, at Caldwell Springs Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, will be Jeff Hess, Dewey Oliver, Danny Ray Elliott, William Birchfield, Raymond Lee Frazier, Ronnie Frazier, Charles "Bo" Taylor and Jeff Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Rock, Wayne Hicks, Jimmy Hyder, Raymond Smith, Roger Smith, Jack Mann, Robert Franklin, Richard Harris, Johnny Story, Conway Markland, T.N. Taylor, Homer Sims, Rob Greer, A.D. "Sonny" Fletcher, his church family and former co-workers of the Machine Shop of North American Rayon Corporation. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at his residence. To those who prefer, memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Frazier to the Carter County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 776, Elizabethton, TN 37644 or the Stoney Creek Fire Department, c/o Packy Fair, 114 Herbert Taylor Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
