Hoskins to Samuel McAdoo: 100 acres This Indenture 1829 between John E. Hoskins and Samuel McAdo, both of the County of Rutherford and State of Tennessee; Witnesseth that the said Hoskins for and in consideration of the sum of Six hundred and Seventy dollars in lawful money, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said Hoskins hereby granted, sold, and by thee presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said McAdo, his heirs and assignees a certain tract or parcel of land, Situated in the county of Rutherford and State aforesaid, on the waters of Bradleys Creek; and bounded as follows. Beginning at a White oak Lewis Davisıs corner, thence running East with Ewingıs old line two hundred and seventy poles to an ash on said Ewingıs line, thence South fifty nine and a half poles to a hickory the [ ] an Elm & dogwood, thence west two hundred and seventy poles to a poplar on Lewis Davisı line, thence north on Said Davisı line fifty nine and a half poles to the beginning. Containing one hundred acres be the same more or less, together, with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging. To have and to hold the above granted premises and appurtenances unto the said Samuel McAdo, his heirs and assignees to the only proper use & behoof of him and his heirs and assignees forever, and the said John E. Hoskins for himself and heirs the said land & premises against himself his heirs and assignees and against all and every other person whatsoever to the said Samuel McAdo his heirs & assignees shall and will warrant and defend forever.
