The Tennessean January 1952
W. A. Daniel at the age of 74 died suddenly Monday January 21, 1952 at his home 
in Nashville.  Funeral services were held at Bracey-Welsh Funeral home with 
service conducted by Brother Coy Porter and burial in the Woodlawn Memorial 
Park.  Mr. Danfiel was born in Perry County near Lobelville, in 1877.  He was 
the last of serveral children to pass away and was married to Maggie Haskins in 
1895 who preceded him in death about thiry years ago.  In 1934 he married Mrs. 
Riley Berry.  

Survivors include his widow and four sons; Luther S.; Ewell L.; and Van Buren, 
all of Nashville and J. Clay of Merigold, Miss.  The active pallbearers were 
nephews and grandsons; Patrick Henry (Pat) and Mike Shelton (Mike) Daniel, Fred 
and Robert Gray, Harold, James Preston and Billy Daniel.
