Samuel G. Jolly, 87, well-known farmer of the Big Springs community, of Meigs 

county, died at his home late today after a long illness.  Funeral services 

will be conducted Thursday morning at 0 o'clock by the Rev. W. I. Farmer of 

Decatur.  Burial will be in the Cowan Cemetery.  Survivors include his wife, 

five daughters, Mrs. Kate Rydalch, Mrs. Lee Masoner and Mrs. Elizabeth Godsey, 

all of Decatur; Mrs. Sarah Jewell, Chattanooga, and Mrs. Bell Harris, San 

Francisco; four sons, Robert of Dallas, Tex.; George and Samuel of 

Chattanooga, and Alvin of San Francisco; forty-six grandchildren and fifteen 

great-grandchildren.
