Rosa Madora Peters, 81, Doeville Road, Butler, died Tuesday, 
November 2, 2004, at Pine Ridge Care Center of Elizabethton.

Ms. Peters was a native of Johnson County and the daughter of the late 
Bruce and Iva Lee Reed Peters. She was also preceded in death by a son, 
Rex Peters, two sisters, Ada Chambers and Bonnie Reynolds, and a brother, 
Carl Peters.

Ms. Peters was retired from North American Rayon Corporation after 43 
years. She was a member of Little Doe Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Jim Rainbolt, 
Butler; two brothers, Wayne Peters and Robert Peters, both of Johnson 
City; a sister, Dessie McCarty, Coeburn, Va.; three grandchildren, Angie 
Johnson and her husband Andy, Craig Peters and his wife Pam, and Brian 
Rainbolt; and three great-grandchildren, Tiffany Johnson, Ethan Johnson 
and Cole Peters. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, November 4, at 
Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Craig Smith officiating. Graveside 
services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, November 5, in the Rock 
Springs Cemetery in Butler. Active pallbearers will be selected from 
family and friends. The family wishes to express special thanks to the 
staff of Pine Ridge Care Center. The family will receive friends from 6 
to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the 
residence of her daughter and son-in-law, 446 Doeville Road, Butler. 
Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Friday.
