Mary J. Riggs to T.J. Loftin

I Mary J. Riggs do transfer all my right and title that I have in a 
tract of land in the State of Tennessee Decatur County District No 6 
that belongs to heirs of John Loftin Deceased for the sum of one hundred 
and ten Dollars paid to me in hand bounded as follows.  Henry Flowers on 
the West  Riggs heirs on the South  Starling Wallace on the East  Joanna 
Barnett on the North to have and to hold the same to the said T.J. Loftin 
his heirs and assigns forever.  I do covenant with the said T.J. Loftin 
that I am lawfully seized of said land have a good right to convey it, 
and that the same is unencumbered I do further covenant and bind myself 
my heirs and representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to 
the said land and every part of it thereof to the said T.J. Loftin his 
heirs and assigns whatever against the lawful claims of all persons 
whatever this 22nd day of March A.D. 1875.

Decatur County    } Dees Clerk of the County Court of said
County L.W.M. Steed and S.J. Loftin subscribing witnesses to the foregoing
deed who being first sworn deposed and said that they were acquainted with 
M.J. Riggs the within named bargainer and that she acknowledged the same
in their presence to be her act and deed upon the day it bears date 22nd
day of March 1875
