Duton Hill to Mary McCormic
State of Tennessee} I Duton Hill have this day have Bargained and Sold and 
Decatur County    } do hereby transfer and Convey to Mary McCormic and her 
Bodely heirs forever for the consideration of five hundred dollars to me 
in hand Paid a tract of land in the 8 Range and 11 Section and Bounded as 
follows to wit    Beginning on poplar dogwood pointers the North west 
corner of and Entry in name of Nicles Dodd Runs East 102 poles to a 
chesnut and Red oak pointers thence North 170 poles to a Stake Black oak 
pointers thence west 102 poles to a chestnut on the South Boundary line 
of one in the name of Jeramey tubs thence South 176 poles with the East 
boundery line of Duton Hill to the Beginning Containing by Estimation 112 
acres to have and to hold the Same to the Said Mary McCormic and her 
bonally heirs their heirs and assigns forever I do covenant and bind my 
Self my heirs and Representatives to warrant and defend the title to Said 
land to Mary McCormic and her Bodly heirs their heirs and assigns forever 
against the lawful Claims of all persons their ... this the 10th day of 
November 1869

and Lewis Chaney Subscribing witness to the attched Deed who being first
duly sworn ... and Say that are personally acquainted with the above named
Duton Hill the bargainer and that he acknowledged the Same in their 
presence to be his act Deed for the purpose there contain   
Witness my hand at office this 7 day of Febuary 1870
