Presnell 2/16/00 Mrs. Virgie Hurley Presnell, 75, 611 N. East Street, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, February 15, 2000, at her residence after an extended illness. Mrs. Presnell was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late James and Bessie Taylor Hurley. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Mrs. Presnell was employed at the Bemberg Corporation for 27 years. She attended the Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Larry Presnell; two sisters, Addie Blevins and Rosa Glover, both of Elizabethton; a brother, Rudy Hurley, Daly City, Calif.; several nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Windell and Betty Williams and Margaret Deloach. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. PRESNELL -- Funeral services for Mrs. Virgie Hurley Presnell, 75, 611 N. East Street, Elizabethton, who died Tuesday, February 15, 2000, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 16, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Marvin Slagle and Rev. Sonny Thomas officiating. Barbara Long will provide the music. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 17, in the Garland Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, will be Ronnie Hurley, Greg Hurley, Buddy Glover, Bruce Woods, Bud Perry and Terry Chambers. Honorary pallbearers will be Grant Hall, Ed Burrow, Robert Folsom, Walter Williams, Jim Cox, Carl Gibson, Hansel Winters, Dean Presnell, Rex Presnell, Buddy Helman Dollar, Carl Long and Larry Street. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Thursday to go to the cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
