CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Cecil Peeks, 14 Jan 2005

Cecil Peeks, age 86, Muddy Branch Road, Elizabethton, died Friday, Jan.
14, 2005, in James H. Quillen Veterans Administration Medical Center Hospital,
Mountain Home, following an extended illness. A native of Bluff City (Sullivan
County), he had lived in Carter County most of his life. He was a son of the
late William Charles and Barbara Godsey Peeks. He was a member of Unaka
Baptist Church and a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation. He
was a U.S. Army veteran having served in World War II. He was preceded in
death by his wife, Rina Katherine Taylor Peeks, March 1, 1979; five sisters,
Ressie Cole, Anna Bouton, Ella Humphreys, Janie Rash, Rena Peeks; and four
brothers, Roy Peeks, Smith Peeks, Bill Peeks and Freddie Peeks. 

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Loretta Peeks, Johnson
City; a very special granddaughter and her husband, Tiffany and Mark Revis,
Elizabethton; a very special great- granddaughter, Makenzie Revis,
Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, the Rev. Earl
Campbell, Johnson City. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and
Loretta Peeks, Johnson City; a very special granddaughter and her husband,
Tiffany and Mark Revis, Elizabethton; a very special great- granddaughter,
Makenzie Revis, Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews; and a special
friend, the Rev. Earl Campbell, Johnson City.
