CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Cecil Peeks, 14 Jan 2005 ----¤¤¤---- Cecil Peeks, age 86, Muddy Branch Road, Elizabethton, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, in James H. Quillen Veterans Administration Medical Center Hospital, Mountain Home, following an extended illness. A native of Bluff City (Sullivan County), he had lived in Carter County most of his life. He was a son of the late William Charles and Barbara Godsey Peeks. He was a member of Unaka Baptist Church and a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rina Katherine Taylor Peeks, March 1, 1979; five sisters, Ressie Cole, Anna Bouton, Ella Humphreys, Janie Rash, Rena Peeks; and four brothers, Roy Peeks, Smith Peeks, Bill Peeks and Freddie Peeks. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Loretta Peeks, Johnson City; a very special granddaughter and her husband, Tiffany and Mark Revis, Elizabethton; a very special great- granddaughter, Makenzie Revis, Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, the Rev. Earl Campbell, Johnson City. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Loretta Peeks, Johnson City; a very special granddaughter and her husband, Tiffany and Mark Revis, Elizabethton; a very special great- granddaughter, Makenzie Revis, Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, the Rev.
