Violet J. Nave



Violet June Nave, 73, 504 Bishop Hollow Road, Elizabethton, died 

Sunday, September 22, 2002, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an 

extended illness.

Ms. Nave was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late 

Rev. Croy L. and Virgie Bowers Nave. She was also preceded in death by 

a brother, Robert Nave.

Ms. Nave was a member of New Horseshoe Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Frances Nave and Carolyn Martin, both of 

Elizabethton, and two brothers, Earl Nave and Willie Nave, both of 

Elizabethton. Seven nieces and two nephews also survive.

NAVE -- Funeral services for Violet June Nave, 73, 504 Bishop Hollow 

Road, Elizabethton, who died Sunday, September 22, 2002, will be conducted 

at 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick 

Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Garland, the Rev. Darrell Holly and the 

Rev. James Hawk officiating. Music will be under the direction of Ina Mae 

Stanberry, Charlotte Crumley and Zelma Ramsey, soloists. Graveside services 

and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 26, in the 

Family Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Berdaska Bowers, Keith Nave, 

Curtis Hyder, Tim Bumgardner, Wess Grindstaff, Charles Nave, Larry Chase 

and Larry Chase Jr. Those who plan to attend the graveside service are 

asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Thursday to go in procession 

to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. 

Wednesday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence at
