Miller 3/13/00 Mrs. Hattie Jane Miller, 76, 562 Heaton Branch Road, Butler, died Thursday, March 9, 2000, at Watauga County Medical Center, Boone, N.C., following a brief illness. Mrs. Miller was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late William and Nora McCloud Baird. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, a sister and two brothers. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Church of Christ and was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Hobert Miller, of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Wayne Miller, of the home, and Larry and Cynthia Miller, Hampton; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Doug Blevins, Mountain City; two brothers, Darnel Baird, Elizabethton, and Clyde Baird, High Point, N.C.; two sisters, Cordelia Cable and Rose Potter, both of Elizabethton; and four grandchildren, Kenneth, Michael and Christopher Blevins, all of Mountain City, and Clinton Torbett, Gray.
