McKeehan Mrs. Hazel P. McKeehan, 83, 147 Coal Chute Rd., Elizabethton, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, Tenn., following an extended illness. Mrs. McKeehan was a native of the Fish Springs community and a daughter of the late James Daniel and Lillie Mae Potter Pierce. She was preceded in death by her husband, Basil Ray McKeehan in December 1996, by a son, Larry McKeehan, in January 2001, and by three brothers, Earl, Troy and Bill Pierce. She was a reporter with the Elizabethton Credit Bureau of Carter County. Mrs. McKeehan was a member of the C Street Church of Christ, Elizabethton. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Berdell Little, Elizabethton, one sister and brother-in-law, Agnes and James McReynolds, Elizabethton, one daughter-in-law, Pauline McKeehan, Elizabethton, one granddaughter, Angi Renee Perry, Elizabethton, several nieces and nephews, special friends, Georgia and Billy Pierce, Sonny and Shirley Pierce, Emma Rose and Mike Snodgrass, all of Elizabethton. McKeehan, 83, 147 Coal Chute Rd., Elizabethton, who died Saturday, May 25, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2002, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, with Messers Eddy Craft and Ed DeVault, ministers, officiating. Music will be by Mr. Jerry Barnett, soloist. Graveside service and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Dan Bowman, Mike McConnell, Steve Roberts, Mike Russell, Michael Heaton, Gordon Holly, Sr., and Mr. David Irick. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Little, Billy Pierce, Jamie Pierce, Dr. Mark Howell, Dr. James Netterville, Michelle McNeill, Jan Crowder, Chuck Perry, Dennis Boone, John Miller, IV, and the church family of C Street Church of Christ. The family will receive friends from 6-8 .m. Monday in the Sunset Chapel, prior to the service or at the residence at any time. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery. For those who desire, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, C/O Helen Wilson, 209 S.
