Lena M. Lawson

Lena M. Lawson, 87, 501 North Burke Street, Wolcott, Ind., died Friday, 
Aug. 2, 2002, at White County Memorial Hospital, Monticello, after a 
lengthy illness.
Born in Elizabethton, Tenn., on Sept. 27, 1914, Mrs. Lawson was the 
daughter of Patton Lewis and Celia Lewis. She lived in the Wolcott area 
since 1942. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Lawson, 
in 1989.
Mrs. Lawson was educated in Elizabethton, Tenn., area schools. She was a 
homemaker. She was a member of Wolcott Baptist Church. She was a member of 
Wolcott Chapter #171 Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Harry E. and Barbara Lawson, 
Jr., Chalmers, Ind., and one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Andrew 
McFerran, Lebanon, Ind., one sister, Georgia Shaun, and two brothers, Ray 
Lewis and Melvin Lewis, all of Elizabethton, Tenn., five grandchildren and 
four great-grandchildren.
Foster Funeral Home, 202 West School Street, Wolcott, Ind., 219-279-2123, 
is in charge of arrangements. 

LAWSON -- Funeral services for Lena M. Lawson, 87, 501 North Burke Street, 
Wolcott, Ind., who died Friday, will be held at Foster Funeral Home on 
Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 10:30 a.m. She will be buried in Meadow Lake Cemetery 
in Wolcott, Ind. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home from 
4-8 p.m. on Monday. An Easter Star service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday 
in the funeral home. Foster Funeral Home, 202 West School Street, Wolcott, 
Ind., 219-279-2123, is in charge of arrangements.
