Hardin 12/09/99 Guy Reynolds Hardin, 89, Auda Hardin Road, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, December 7, 1999, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mr. Hardin was a native of Carter County and a son of the late John R. and Hettie Frazier Hardin. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Auda Hardin, Albert Hardin, Clyde Hardin and Wesley Hardin. Mr. Hardin was a retired employee of the Stoney Creek Utility District. He was the last Charter Member of New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include two brothers and a sister-in-law, Hobert and Juanita Hardin, 409 Washington Avenue, Elizabethton, and Gilbert Hardin, 223 Williams Avenue, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. HARDIN -- Funeral services for Guy Reynolds Hardin, 89, Auda Hardin Road, Elizabethton, who died Tuesday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday at New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Colbaugh and Rev. Bill Greer officiating. The Youth Choir will provide the music. Graveside services and interment will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday in the Blevins Cemetery with Rev. Clate Briggs officiating. Pallbearers will be selected. The family will receive friends at the church from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 11:20 a.m. Friday. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
