CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Elizabeth Camper Hagy, 3 Nov 2004 ----¤¤¤---- Elizabeth Camper Hagy, 79, Ninth St., Watauga, went to be with Jesus early Wednesday morning November 3, 2004. A native of Abingdon, Va., she had resided in Watauga since 1952. Mrs. Hagy was a member of The Church of the Living Saviour. She and her husband were the former owners and operators of Hagy's Grocery Store in Watauga. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Mamie Camper; an infant daughter, Juanita Carol Hagy; two sisters, Bessie Musick and Ruth Campbell, and three brothers, Edgar Camper, Gene Camper, and Luther Camper. Mrs. Hagy is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Charles Hagy; two sons, Charles Edgar Hagy, Jr. and Christopher Lynn Hagy, both of Watauga; three grandsons, Nathan Hagy, Milligan; Christopher Daniel Hagy, Watauga, and Robert Hagy, Johnson City; two sisters, Margaret Saults, Abingdon, Va. and Evelyn Lowe, Damascus, Va.; one brother, Louis Camper, Abingdon, Va. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Elizabeth Hagy will be held Thursday, November 4, 2004 at 8 p.m. in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. The Reverend Melvin Ferrell will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside services will be held Friday, November 5, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. to travel in procession to the cemetery. Sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
