CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Harold Rexford Grindstaff, 13 Feb 2005 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Harold Rexford Grindstaff, 79, Ranger Drive, Elizabethton, died Sunday, February 13, 2005, at his residence. Mr. Grindstaff was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Claude Emmett and Daisy Annalee Williams Grindstaff. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel R. Grindstaff, August 7, 1991. Mr. Grindstaff was a former owner and operator of Custom Guttering for 14 years. He was a charter member of Riverview Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, JoAnn and Harvey Anderson and Carolyn and Richard Gallaher, all of Elizabethton, and Felecia Grayson, Ocean, N.J.; four sisters, Ruby Hardin, Opal Gouge, Demple Williams and June Allen, all of Elizabethton; two brothers, Wesley Grindstaff and A.B. Grindstaff, both of Elizabethton; two half sisters, Dorothy Deloach and Josie Kirbo, both of Elizabethton; two half brothers, Elic Grindstaff and David Grindstaff, both of Elizabethton; eight grandchildren, Jamie and Jason Johnson, April and Michael Kiser, Sara, Ashley, Brittany and William Grayson; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Shirley Johnson. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mike Anglin, Mr. Harvey Anderson and Mr. Jamie Johnson officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Johnson, Jason Johnson, Michael Kiser, Harvey Anderson, Richard Gallaher, Wesley Grindstaff, A.B. Grindstaff, William Grayson and employees and friends of Burger Hut. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence.
