CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Claude K. Goins, 22 Jun 2004

Claude K. Goins, 89, Sugar Hollow Rd., Roan Mtn., died Tuesday, 
June 22, 2004 at Brookhaven Manor after an extended illness.

Born in Appalachia, Va., he resided in Kingsport most of his life and 
retired from Free Service Tire of Kingsport.

Mr. Goins was a member of Roan Park Baptist Church in Roan Mountain.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Myrtle Goins; a 
brother, R.C. Goins; his first wife, Lucille Goins, and his second wife, 
Evelyn C. Goins.

Surviving are his wife, Frances Goins, Roan Mtn.; three sons, John Goins, 
of Clearwater, Fla.; Chris Goins and wife, Kristy, Kingsport; Tim Goins 
and wife, Kelley, Kingsport; grandchildren, Chad Goins, Anthony Goins, 
both of Florida; Jeremiah Goins and Kristin Goins, both of Kingsport, 
and Mason Goins, of North Carolina; several great-grandchildren; three 
sisters, Hazel Farmer, of Tucson, Ariz.; Irene Kincaid and Erma Burton, 
both of Kingsport, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 25, 2004 
at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be family members and friends. 
Memorials may be given to the Northeast Tennessee Alzheimer's Association, 
207 N. Boone St., Suite 1500, Johnson City, TN 37604 or to the charity of 
one's choice.
Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport, is serving the family of Claude 
Goins.
