Ferguson 07/16/99 Carsie Burl Clark Ferguson, 74, Route 2, Unicoi, died Wednesday, July 14, 1999, at Unicoi County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care Facility. Mrs. Ferguson was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Dove and Nancy Roberts Clark. During her working career, Mrs. Ferguson had been employed at the former Johnson City Memorial Hospital and later retired from the Unicoi County School System. She was a member of New Hope Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Harlan Clark, Unicoi; a sister, Betty Trent, Johnson City; a brother, Ralph Clark, Chattanooga; two grandchildren, Anthony Clark, Unicoi, and Angel Dixon, Afton; and two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Brandon Dixon, Afton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Valley Funeral Home, 1085 N. Main Avenue, Erwin, (423) 743-9187, is in charge of arrangements. FERGUSON -- Funeral services for Carsie Burl Clark Ferguson, 74, Route 2, Unicoi, who died Wednesday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday at Valley Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Ault and Rev. Sam Ferguson officiating. Vocal selections will be provided by Rev. Harold McNabb. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 10 a.m. Sunday at Nelson Cemetery, Roan Mountain. Active pallbearers will be Tony Clark, Glenn Trent, Butch Trent, Keith Trent, David Lady and John Dixon. Those attending the graveside services will meet at the cemetery at 9:50 a.m. Sunday for the graveside service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. Saturday until the service hour. Valley Funeral Home, 1085 N. Main Avenue, Erwin, is in charge of arrangements.
