New Ellenton, S.C. -- Mrs. Hattie Mae Carr, 76, of New Ellenton, S.C., 
died Sunday night, May 30, 2004.

Born in and a resident of Elizabethton until 1960, she was a daughter 
of the late Jim and Sally A. Massengill Blevins. 

She was a homemaker and a member of Pineview Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Diane Carr.

In addition to her husband of 58 years, J.D. Carr, she is survived by 
her sons, Steve Carr, of Aiken, S.C. and Calvin Wayne Carr, of New 
Ellenton, S.C.; brothers, Arthur, Reese, and James Blevins, all of 
Elizabethton; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Mae Carr will be held Wednesday, June 
2, 2004 at 2 p.m. at George Funeral Homes, Southside Chapel, 3175 Whiskey 
Rd., Aiken, S.C., with Pastor Grady Yonce officiating. Burial will follow 
in Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 1, 
2004 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. At the request of the family,
