Brown Mrs. Trina Campbell Brown, 90, 454 Main Street, Butler, died Friday, September 15, 2000, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton following an extended illness. Mrs. Brown was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Finley and Irma Hogarth Campbell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ree R. Brown, July 9, 1986, and a brother, Elgin Campbell. Mrs. Brown was a graduate of Watauga Academy and attended East Tennessee State College. She was a retired school teacher, having taught for 33 years in Johnson and Carter counties. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and a member of Butler Baptist Church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, R.E. and Charlotte Brown, Butler, and two grandchildren, Scott Brown and Amanda Brown Howard. Two great-grandchildren also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. BROWN -- Funeral services for Mrs. Trina Campbell Brown, 90, 454 Main Street, Butler, who died Friday, September 15, 2000, will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, September 17, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Doug Ranshaw officiating. The Pilgrims Journey will provide the music. Interment will be in the Butler Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 3:20 p.m. Sunday, will be Clayton Brown, Larry Tester, Ivan Brown, Jimmy Brown, James Dugger and Taylor Farthing. Honorary pallbearers will be J.L. Walsh, Glen "Bud" McCloud, Bob Cable, George Campbell and Darrell Campbell. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, R.E. and Charlotte Brown, 406 Main Street, Butler. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
