Stokley Funeral Home - West Point Ne- Mar
Funeral services for Paul A. G. Herrmann, age 85, of West Point were May 3, at 
Ben Stalp Funeral Chapel. Rev. Arthur Hermanson of Scribner officiated. Burial 
was in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Fred Hartman was organist. Honorary 
pallbearers were; Fred Gelster, Ray Bailey, Hans Haeffelin, Otto Guretzky, 
Bill Schmitt and Harold Kahler. Active pallbearers were Jim Ortmeier, Joe 
Franzluebbers, Emil Huhman, JR. , Kenneth Luedke, Fred Herrmann and John 
Ortmeier, Jr. Mr. Herrmann died April 30, 1978 at the Veterans Hospital in 
Omaha. He was born Oct. 2, 1892 in West Point and was a lifetime resident of 
the community except for 10 years when he lived in Omaha. He was a member of 
Trinity Church and a 60 year member of the American Legion Post 70. Herrmann 
had worked at Goldsmith and Co. Grocery Store in West Point from the age of 16 
until leaving for Omaha where he worked for Paxton and Gallegar. Mr. Herrmann 
married the former Anna T. Ortmeier April 11, 1932 in Omaha, she survives. 
Other survives include a daughter, Paula Ann Herrmann at home. Sisters; Mrs. 
Luella Cohee, Madras, Oregon, Mrs. Hildred Davis and Cleone Herrmann both of 
Omaha.
